MPLI 2023 was one of the biggest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) tournaments of the year, featuring 16 top teams from various MPL regions, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, North America, and Cambodia. It had a significant prize pool of $100,000, attracting some of the best MLBB teams globally​.
 

The tournament's format, which combined fan-voted group placements and a double-elimination playoff, made it a high-stakes and unpredictable event. It was hosted at the GBK Basketball Hall in Jakarta, Indonesia, further emphasizing its prestige in the MLBB esports scene. As part of the wider MLBB competitive ecosystem, MPLI 2023 played a crucial role in shaping regional rivalries and showcasing top-tier talent. The event drew large online viewership and engagement, solidifying MLBB's position as one of the leading mobile esports titles​.
